BUILD THE PLAN.
BEFORE THE WALLS.

New construction is an opportunity to plan home entertainment and networking alongside the rest of the home. HES reviews the space before recommending equipment, starting with your floor plans, room uses and construction schedule.

PLAN THE DETAILS

Start with the furniture, screens and desks

Mark where people will sit, watch and work. A room label alone does not establish the right television height, speaker position or network outlet. Include outdoor listening areas and future uses in the discussion so the wiring brief follows how you will live.

Coordinate before finishes close

Cable routes, speaker locations and equipment storage are easier to evaluate while access is available. Share the build stage and the dates for relevant work so HES can discuss installation timing with you and the project team. The scope and schedule need to be agreed for the actual build.

Give equipment a serviceable home

A receiver, network switch or amplifier needs more than a shelf. Consider ventilation, power, cable entry and access for connections. Clear identification and an accessible equipment location help future troubleshooting and upgrades.

Plan the first day of use

Prewiring is one stage; fitting speakers, connecting sources and configuring controls comes later. Discuss the intended handover, components you plan to retain and who will use the system. Product choices and wiring requirements should be reviewed together.

BEFORE WE VISIT

Bring the details that shape the work.

A useful first conversation starts with the property and the work already planned.

  • Current drawings and furniture layouts
  • Construction stage and expected milestones
  • Rooms for audio, television, work and networking
  • Existing components to include

When should we contact HES?
